Police in the UK have launched an investigation after a photograph of the late Emiliano Sala was shared on social media in recent weeks.
According to reports in the UK, the investigation comes after a photo showing a lifeless body at morgue was shared online.
It is understood that the photo was shared online after it was taken at Holly Tree Lodge mortuary in Bournemouth.
Police say they believe the photo may have been taken by someone who broke into the morgue whilst Sala was resting there.
However officers investigating the incident say they do not believe that any of the employees at mortuary were involved.
Sala tragically passed away when the plane he was travelling in with pilot David Ibbotson crashed into the English Channel on January 21st.
The 28-year-old former Nantes player had just completed a £15m transfer to Cardiff City.
