It has been reported in the past few hours that the first policeman to arrive at the scene following the poisoning of a former Russian agent and his daughter has fallen ill.
According media reports in the UK the officer has become seriously ill and remains in critical condition in hospital.
The news of the man’s deteriorating health comes after a former Russian agent and his daughter were found slumped on a bench in Salisbury, Wiltshire, on Sunday.
Police say they are currently treating all cases as a major incident and attempted murder.
It is believed that both victims in Sunday’s incident were poisoned with a deadly nerve agent.
Both victims currently remain in critical condition in hospital.
