Police officials in the U.S. have said that a bomb threat which resulted in the closure of the entire Los Angeles school district this morning was linked to an internet address in Frankfurt, Germany.
A spokesperson for the LAPD has said the suspicious email was sent to a district board member and came through an IP, address from the German city. The threatening message caused all public schools to close after this morning as a precautionary measure due to the recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino.
Meanwhile Ramon Cortines, superintendent of the school system, told reporters: “It was not to one school, two schools or three schools, it was many schools, not specifically identified … that’s the reason I took the action that I did. “I am not taking the chance of taking children any place into the building until I know it’s safe.”
