A pregnant mother and a grandmother have been killed in a drive-by shooting. The incident also left three others injured, including an 11-month-old baby.
The five people were getting out of a car in Chicago when the shooting occurred. All five victims were taken to hospital where the pregnant woman and her mother were pronounced dead.
The 11-month-old baby is said to be stable. Two adult males said to be in their twenties were also among the five involved. They remain in hospital where one is in critical condition.
Relatives identified the two victims as 24-year-old Patricia Chew who was two-months pregnant and 47-year-old Lolita Wells.
Gun crime is a huge issue in Chicago. 2,300 people have been injured in shootings across the city of Chicago in 2015. No arrests have yet been made for the crime.
