President Michael D Higgins has said something radical needs to be done in order to address the current homeless crisis.
In his annual Christmas message, President Higgins said that it is unacceptable that everyone should accept things as they currently are.
President Higgins who is now into his second term in office, also said that it grieves him that there are so many people in Ireland without a place of their own.
The President who was speaking about his Christmas plans on Friday, said he believes that something radical needs to be done in order to add the ongoing crisis.
