The US and Iran came within close to all out war last night after President Trump was goaded into almost launching airstrikes.
It follows the shooting down of a €150 million American drone that was monitoring oil reserves in the area. President Trump said that its military was cocked and loaded to launch strikes against Iran but he halted strikes just 10 minutes before they were due to strike because he was told that 150 innocent civilian people would die.
President Donald Trump said that the response wouldn’t be proportionate to the shooting down of an unmanned drone. He added that Iran could never, ever have nuclear powers.
It’s understood that President Trump issued a stern warning to Iranian officials overnight and said that he didn’t want to go to war with Iran but that he wouldn’t take any attacks lightly.
