Pressure mounts in Northern Ireland as one hospital is forced to treat patients in Ambulances

The Covid-19 situation is seemingly getting worse North of the border as one Co Antrim hospital has been forced to treat patients in the back of a number of ambulances.

According to RTE News, Antrim Area Hospital has seen surge that saw patients from 17 ambulances being treated by doctors in the car park.

The news comes as latest figures showed that hospital capacity across the regions was at 104%.

Although the region has only recently left a circuit breaker lockdown it seems the rise in cases is continuing.

The latest spike in cases has led to the Stormont Assembly being called on Thursday to discuss a number of measures that will reduce the spread of the virus.
