Motorists will soon be hit with a price increase of up to 3-4c for a litre of petrol, in the wake of last Saturday’s drone strike on one of Saudi Arabia’s key oil production facilities.
Most analysts agree that the price increase will begin to happen this weekend, and be sustained ‘for some time’.
Government taxes account for 62% of a litre of petrol, and 57% for diesel.
