Former Charlton ladies goalkeeper Jordan Dawes has sadly died following a battle with liver cancer.
The 18-year-old, who was tragically diagnosed with the illness after suffering a stroke stroke in November, sadly passed away on Friday her family confirmed.
According to BBC News, Dawes family released the following the statement confirming her tragic passing: “We are heartbroken beyond heartbroken.”
“She had so much life to live. Never stop loving and hugging your beautiful children as it’s a cruel world out there.”
Dawes who was playing with Kent Football United, was considered a promising prospect in the game and received the support of fellow professionals including Manchester United’s goalkeeper David De Gea in recent months.
