Finally it appears that justice may be served, even if it is quite late.
58-yr-old David Allen Turpin and 50-yr-old Louise Anna Turpin have pleaded guilty to torturing their own 12 children.
The sicko couple from California were thankfully been arrested by police after one of their 12 children managed to escape and raise the alarm to the fact that they were keeping their 12 malnourished children captive in their home.
They practically kept them as slaves, with one child as young as two years old and many others being shackled to bedposts and kept in fully darkened rooms.
The 13 children were held captive at the Perris, California. They range in age from 2 years old to 29 years old, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.
“Further investigation revealed several children shackled to their beds with chains and padlocks in dark and foul-smelling surroundings, but the parents were unable to immediately provide a logical reason why their children were restrained in that manner,” the statement read.
“Deputies located what they believed to be 12 children inside the house, but were shocked to discover that seven of them were actually adults, ranging in age from 18 to 29. The victims appeared to be malnourished and very dirty.”
The sheriff’s office said “the victims were provided with food and beverages after they claimed to be starving.”
If convicted they could spend life behind bars – and many people feel they deserve it.
