Protest against water charges to get underway in Limerick soon

limerick-city

The Government is receiving flak from all corners of the country on the issue of water bills.

The We Won’t Pay campaign are staging a ‘Bin the Bills’ protest at 2pm at City Hall, in Limerick city.

The protest comes hot on the heels of the first water bills slipping through letterboxes across Ireland.

Paul Murphy TD will address the protest, and Anti-austerity Alliance councillor Cian Prendiville has said that they would like to see a big turn out to “show the government that we will not be bullied, and boost the confidence of those unsure whether to boycott or not”.
