The Health Service Executive (HSE) has issued a public warning after a measles outbreak in Co. Donegal.
It is understood that two cases of the highly contagious disease were confirmed last week. People are urged to contact their GP without delay if they believe they, or anyone in their family, are displaying any symptoms. Patients should also ring ahead so doctors can make arrangements to prevent the disease from spreading.
Measles can develop into more serious disease in people with weakened or compromised immune systems.
