Justice Minister Frances Fitzgerald has said that, while she is indeed considering the issue of alcohol sales and pub openings on Good Friday, a decision will not be forthcoming until later this year.
Representatives from the tourist and hospitality sectors have made calls to allow the pubs to open on Good Friday.
This year also, rugby’s Champions Cup quarter finals will take place over the Easter weekend.
