Queen Elizabeth, in a very rare televised address, will address the UK on Sunday evening to thank the UK’s public and health workers for all that they’re doing to fight coronavirus.

The Queen will say she hopes the coronavirus crisis will show that “Britons of this generation were as strong as any” as the world fights covid-19.

According to the BBC, in her message, recorded at Windsor Castle, the 93-year-old monarch will say: “I am speaking to you at what I know is an increasingly challenging time.

“A time of disruption in the life of our country: a disruption that has brought grief to some, financial difficulties to many, and enormous changes to the daily lives of us all.”

The message about the coronavirus pandemic will be broadcast at 8pm on Sunday evening.
