Joe Biden is being hailed as the second Catholic President of the United States but liberal stance in relation to several social issues such as a marriage, transgenderism and most controversially, abortion, are leading many to question his sincerity in his profession of faith.
Biden is rushing to rollback Donald Trump’s protections for the unborn which includes a prohibition U.S. funding for nongovernmental groups that provide or refer patients for abortions.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said she would have more information in the coming days, on President’s pro-abortion agenda but then bizarrely noted that Biden is “a devout Catholic, and somebody who attends church regularly.”
Biden even reversed his support for the Hyde Amendment, a long-standing prohibition on federal funding for most abortions, during the 2020 Presidential election race, bowing to pressure from the more radically “progressive” elements within his party.
As more protections were rolled out for unborn babies in recent years, Democrats support for abortion on demand has become more radical with abortion on demand up to birth becoming a key platform of the party and prominent voices advocating taxpayer funding.
Despite Biden’s proclamations of Catholicism, his pro-abortion agenda indicates his faith may be little more than a cynical prop.
