The head of the HSE Paul Reid has said the country’s vaccination programme is having a significant impact.
Speaking to RTE, Reid said that the programme is having a particular impact in our population as there has been a major decrease in mortality and cases.
Reid said that the programme which is expected to be ramped up in the coming weeks ahead is also having an impact in terms of the positivity rate amongst healthcare workers.
The HSE Chief stated that according to latest testing figures at longterm care facilities the rate of positivity at 0.8%
