On Friday, local TV station Fox 11 saw Harry and Meghan on camera embracing individuals and interacting with emergency personnel at the Pasadena Community Centre in Los Angeles.
In the video, the pair is seen talking to chef Jose Andres, the founder of World Central Kitchen (WCK), and they also met Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, reports Breaking News.
According to its website, WCK has set up pop-up venues around California, such as the Pasadena Community Centre, where emergency personnel and the general public may get complimentary hot meals following the wildfires.
Speaking to Doug Goodwin, whose house was burned in the flames, Meghan was also seen on camera, reports Breaking News.
At least 11 people have been killed by the string of large flames, which have also destroyed villages and forced thousands of others to evacuate their homes.
About 90 miles from Los Angeles, in Montecito, close to Santa Barbara, reside Harry and Meghan.
The pair is thought to have given clothing, toys, and other necessities to those impacted by the fires, reports Breaking News.
It is reported that they also welcomed friends and family members who had to flee to stay at their house.
They suggested a list of animal organisations, fire service organisations, and other projects to help on Thursday, reports Breaking News.
They said on their website: “In the last few days, wildfires in southern California have raged through neighbourhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centres, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life,” reports Breaking News.
They added: “If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate, and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. Be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbours to see if they need help evacuating. Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys and other essentials. The American Red Cross is on the ground helping those in need,” reports Breaking News.
