There are reports this afternoon of an active shooter and a hostage situation developing in the German city of Stuttgart.
According to local media, an armed man was seen entering a law firm premises in the eastern side of the city. It is unclear whether or not the man fired his weapon. The same media outlets report that there may be hostages taken.
The incident has triggered a large security operation, with a large contingent of armed police reported in the area.
