Residents in Dungarvan are taking the safety of their town into their own hands by setting up a new Volunteer Security Patrol.
According to WLR FM, the group has been organised following reports of violence in the city.
On a post on their new social media page, the groups says that the situation is not about “race, sex or bias of any kind” but is intended to protect the peace in the area.
It is reported that a recent attempted attack in Dungarvan that took place on February 19th is being investigated by Gardai.
