Return of warm weather! Ireland’s “summer” is due to resume this week

Let’s face it, June has thus far been a washout. Long forgotten are the days of hose-pipe bans and burst pipes in Drogheda Co. Louth leading to a water shortage.

But finally it appears as though the national forecaster, Met Eireann has some good news in store.

The national forecaster, Met Eireann has given us some hope by claiming that temperatures will rise significantly next week, reaching 20-21C at times. Today will see a mixture of sunshine and showers for the West and South of the country which will move north and north eastwards throughout the day.

Tomorrow looks like a much better day with rain clearing, especially on the east coast at first but over the course of the day and evening, the country will get a break from rainfall.

Things will start improving somewhat on Tuesday, with less in the way of rain and temperatures rising to about 19C.

Wednesday looks set to be a bright day with just a few scattered showers and mild weather.
