The tragic trend of road deaths continues today, following the death of a female motorist.
The incident happened on the N5 road near Strokestown, Co. Roscommon, at around 8am today.
The deceased, a woman in her 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other women and a young boy were taken to hospital following the accident.
