The tragic trend of road deaths continues today, following the death of a pedestrian in Co. Louth.
The deceased, a man in his 40s, was struck by a lorry on the southbound lane of the M1 motorway this afternoon. It is understood that the pedestrian was hit as he stood beside a vehicle on the side of the road.
