The tragic trend of road deaths continues today, following the death of a teenager on an Irish road overnight.
The crash happened on the Newport Road near the village of Corha in Castlebar, Co. Mayo, shortly before midnight.
The teenager who was driving the car died in hospital a short time later. Two male passengers were seriously injured in the crash and remain in hospital this morning.
There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
