Roaming charges will end in 2017

roaming

Fantastic news this morning, as it has been announced that the much controversial roaming charges will be abolished altogether in 2017.

The European Union has agreed to end the charges, and the deal will also see travellers pay the same price for calls, text messages and data anywhere in the 28 EU nations.

A transition period will commence next April, when charges will be four times lower for some customers, and they will be no more by June 2017.
