The charity event titled “An Evening with Rory” will be held in Dublin’s Convention centre on May 17th of this year.
The pro golfer will be in the country before the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.
Also attending is The Hobbit actors James Nesbitt, who will MC throughout the night.
2,000 people are expected to attend the charity fundraisers.
McIlroy who is currently 3rd in the world spoke of his delight to be back in Ireland, stating that “I want to raise as much money as I can for my Foundation as there are many children’s charities out there really in need of the support”.
Charities that have received funding from fundraisers organised by McIlroy are Mencap NI, Sport Changes Life and the Cancer Fund for Children.
SKY TV will broadcast the fundraiser on television with tickets going on sale for €60.

The Rory Foundation will host the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open for the second time, on from May 19th to May 22nd in the K Club, Kildare.
