Rotunda Hospital in Dublin has announced is pleading for public donations to raise funds to purchase a heart machine for infants.
It is understood that the Government provides inadequate funding for the hospital, so medical staff have had to resort to asking the public for money.
The hospital’s current machinery is now outdated and needs replacing. A Gofundme page has been created, with a target of €76,500.
