The O’Callaghan family decided not to sell as they want to remain in the area given its proximity to school, college and work.
According to the Irish Daily Mail, Miriam O’Callaghan said;
“Not very long at all after we placed our home on the market, we all, as a family, realised that we really love our home and simply no one wanted to leave it.
“It’s in a great location near the schools, colleges and workplaces which we all travel to every day.
“So we made the decision to take it off the market very quickly as there had been a lot of interest in it and we didn’t want to end up disappointing a buyer.”
In 2019, the Irish Times reported that O’Callaghan received an annual salary of €299,000 from the tax payer funded government broadcaster, RTE.
