RTE receive 31 complaints following dummy birthing segment on Late Late Show




RTÉ have confirmed that they have recieved a total of 31 complaints following its dummy birthday segment on the Late Late Show on Friday night.

It is understood the broadcaster received a number of complaints following segment which showed Dr Catherine Finnegan and Ciara Malone of the Royal College of Surgeons demonstrate the birthing process with dummy ‘Lucina’.

Although RTÉ have refused to reveal details about the complaints, a number viewers had voiced their surprise after watch the segment last Friday.

Many people had previously stated that the process wasn’t an accurate representation of the process, whilst others complained that having the bottom half of a female dummy exposed and giving birth before a viewing audience wasn’t necessary.
