RTE receive 500 complaints following Peter Casey Late Late Show interview

RTE have confirmed that they have recieved a total of 500 complaints in regards to the Peter Casey interview on the Late Late Show just over two weeks ago.

According to The Sun newspaper, the national broadcaster recieved 353 complaints, 67 emails and 95 phonecalls in features to the interview.

The Sun say RTE have declined to comment on the complaints citing that they do not comment on any complaints but they do take them seriously.

It is understood the complaints come after Late Late host Ryan Tubridy was heavily criticised by both Casey himself and the Irish public following the interview with the former Presidential candidate.

Speaking to The Sun, Mr Casey said Ryan Tubridy was completely unprofessional and rude during the whole interview process.

The former Presidential candidate also questioned Tubridy’s high salary, before claiming that he would do a better job hosting the show himself.
