Despite the continuous controversies surrounding its finances, RTÉ is set to spend over €400,000 on new printers and photocopiers that are deemed to be “cost-effective”, reports Independent.
For the purpose of replacing “end-of-life” printers that were initially installed in 2015, the broadcaster has released a tender for new printers and photocopiers, valued at €435,000.
It claimed that in order to improve its understanding of the cost and scope of improving its printing services, it sought “external advice” prior to releasing the offer, reports Independent.
This week saw the publication of the tender in yet another embarrassing development for the broadcaster.
