The Director General of RTE, Dee Forbes, has told the Government that there must be an overhaul of the licence fee system, but that they are not looking for an increase in the fee.
According to Breaking News, the matter was discussed at an Oireachtas Committee hearing where it was explained that some €65 million was being lost each year through the way in which the licence fee is collected.
