Over 100 people are said to have been saved by the 15-year-old kid who guided them away from the terrorist attack that took place on Friday at a Moscow music hall, reports Fox News.
Islam Khalilov, the teenager, works in the Crocus City Hall, the scene of the shooting, as a cloakroom attendant. Because he was familiar with the structure, he was able to move swiftly to help concertgoers who were afraid to escape and stop more people from dying in Friday’s carnage.
“At first we heard some strange sounds on the first floor. We thought maybe some noisy group had come,” he explained later in an interview, reports Fox News.
“I understood that if I didn’t react, I would lose my life and the lives of many people,” he added “Honestly, it was very scary,” reports Fox News.
Video shot from several viewpoints depicts Khalilov yelling at concertgoers and directing them to the nearest emergency exit.
