Will he get re-elected? Simon Coveney says he’s going to run again in the next election

Simon Coveney, the deputy leader of Fine Gael, has declared that he would run for office again in the upcoming general election, reports Breaking News.

Speaking while surrounded by party ministers in Athlone, Mr. Coveney added that Simon Harris, the next leader, will choose the Cabinet.

Mr. Coveney was questioned about whether he planned to run for office again in the upcoming election, amid rumours about his political future.

“Yes, I am,” he said, reports Breaking News.

When asked if he thought the present Fine Gael ministers will remain in their positions, Mr. Coveney replied, “Simon (Harris) makes the decision on this.”

“He is going to have a lot on his mind over the next few weeks. He needs to be given the space to do that. He has a good relationship with all the ministers in this room and some of the people who’d like to be ministers too,” he added, reports Breaking News.
