Actor Frank Kelly has died aged 77.
Best known for his role as Fr Jack Hackett in Fr Ted, Kelly had a widespread career which saw him walk the boards quite a lot.
Having survived both skin and bowel cancer, the actor was said to have Parkinson’s disease since last October.
In a bizarre twist of fate, today is Fr Ted actor Dermot Morgan’s anniversary.
He’s survived by his wife Bairbre, their 7 children and 17 grandchildren.
