A man’s body was recovered from the River Shannon in Limerick earlier this afternoon.
The body was spotted washed up on the river’s bank during low tide, just beside St Michael’s Rowing Club in the city.
Local rescue crews brought the body to shore, and was subsequently taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem. Gardai do not suspect foul play.
