If you are a Galaxy Note 7 owner here in Ireland, you can now bring your device to the point of sale and have it replaced by a new one free of charge.
The exchange programme is now underway, after a number of users worldwide reported that their brand new Galaxy Note 7 caught fire.
Also, the company has introduced a software update that will apply to pre-orders, whereby the battery can only be charged up to 60%. Samsung hopes this will limit the risk of the battery overcharging and catching fire.
