Indian and Pakistani phone scammers have been trying to get Irish people’s credit card details for quite some time, now they’ve changed their tact and are using new phones to try and trick people into thinking that they’re phoning from Irelnad.
This time a female Pakistani woman is calling Irish numbers claiming that she’s from Eir and that she needs your credit card details to update your account.
According to Tech Buzz Ireland, who give full details on the scam, the numbers below are the ones that the scammers are using and calling Irish people from.
00353766701368 – 0035376670148 – 00353766705525- 0035356953749 The first two seem to originate in Argentina and the latter is in Germany.
People are advised to share this information with their friends, especially their elderly neighbours and family.
