The Department of Education has confirmed that school buses for secondary school students will run at 50% capacity.
It is believed the decision comes following recommendations from the National Public Health Emergency Team.
The Department of Education say that they are now entering talks with Bus Eireann in order to reorganise their scheduled.
The decision will not effect primary school students as buses will continue to operate at full capacity.
