They’re calling it “Scrooge Street” online… and you can see why.

Charlotte Stacey posted this monumental picture on Quality Street’s Facebook page – clearely showing the diminishing of their box sizes over the years.

The woman photographed four boxes from the 80S, 90S, 00S and today. The British favourite, which is now owned by Nestlé, has denied its boxes are getting smaller.

Charlotte wrote the following message on the Quality Street Facebook page.

“Been putting the Christmas tree up, always keep my tins to put my decorations in after Christmas!
“Look how they’ve changed in size from 1998 till 2014! Bring back the big tins!!! Loyal quality street customer!” Charlotte wrote.

Charlotte’s epic post went viral and has gathered and astonishing 70,000 likes and 30,000 shares.

However – Quality Street are fighting back!

A NestlĂ© spokesman said: “This image does not compare like for like.”
“As well as the 780g tub pictured, we also have a 1.3kg tin available which lovers of Quality Street might like to try this Christmas.”
“We want to give the best possible value for money and we believe that this product is still extremely competitive.”
