Gardaí in Co Carlow have confirmed that seven people were injured following a road traffic incident on Monday night.
It is understood the people were injured following a five vehicle collision on the N80 Bunclody Road south-east of Carlow town at approximately 6.30pm.
Gardai say one driver was taken to Wexford General Hospital with serious injuries, whilst four others were taken to University Hospital Waterford.
They also say two other people were taken to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny.
