Despite a never ending propaganda series about “initiatives” and vacuous “action plans” undertaken by successive Health Ministers, the reality is that overcrowding across A&E wards nationwide continues to be a grim reality.
Figures released today indicate that almost 300 people are waiting for a hospital bed nationwide.
Among these, thirty-eight people are without a bed in University Hospital Limerick, while there are 27 waiting in both South Tipperary General Hospital and University Hospital Waterford.
