The HSE’s standard is about to sink even lower, after it emerged that prefabs may be used during the winter months, to cope with increased demand.
Euphemistically referred to as “rapid installation” and units of a “high specification”, the prefabs are likely to become permanent features of hospitals, just like they did in schools across the country.
It is understood that tenders have been put out into the market already.
