When asked about the findings of the party’s investigation of her leadership following its unexpectedly poor performance in the Republic of Ireland, Ms. McDonald replied, “They have told me that they want me to be more firm.” They have expressed their desire for me to be who I truly am. They have told me that they expect me to bring clarity in terms of our policy offerings and they have told me that they expect better engagement with the grassroots,” reports Breaking News.
According to Ms. McDonald, the party, both north and south, continues to fully trust and support her.
She said that she will lead the party into the Republic of Ireland’s next general election.
“Their main ask of me was to listen, to listen, to listen,” Ms. McDonald stated, adding that she was never “precious about criticism,” reports Breaking News.
