Police in the US State of Kentucky, have confirmed that six people have been killed after a car drove down the wrong side of a busy interstate.
According to reports in the US, two adults and four young children were killed following incident which occurred on interstate 75 just outside Lexington, on Saturday.
It is believed that a woman aged in her 30s was killed after she collided with a car carrying five other people.
Police investigating the incident say the fiveoccupants of other car were killed following the crash.
Amongst the victims a 30 year old woman was killed, whilst four children aged 11, 9, 5 and 2 were killed in the crash.
Police say both the driver of the car driving in the wrong direction and the 9 year old passenger in the opposite car were sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that all other four victims sadly passed away in hospital.
