Snooker legend Willie Thorne sadly passes away aged 66 in Spain




Snooker legend Willie Thorne was placed in an induced in Spain yesterday but has sadly passed away.

According to Sky Sports, Thorne, 66, was placed in an induced coma after suffering respiratory failure.

It is believed that Thorne, who announced that he is battling leukaemia earlier this year, was admitted to hospital after experiencing severely low blood pressure.

Sadly WT, as he was known, sadly died during the night.

The news of the former snooker ace’s condition was confirmed by his carer Julie O’Neill who said he was surrounded by his children who were telling him that they loved him.
