Met Eireann have issued snow-ice warning for a number of counties across the country this evening.
The state forecaster have issued a yellow alert as snow is likely to fall on hills and mountains in the southern parts of the country, up to 3cm of snow is expected to fall in certain areas with temperatures expected to fall between -1 and +2 degrees.
Meanwhile the RSA have issued a warning advising motorists to be extra careful whilst driving in the early hours of Saturday morning as the vast majority of the country will experience freezing temperatures which will bring frosty and icy conditions.
