A specialised Game of Thrones counselling service has been set up in the UK by Bark.com, a U.K.-based social network that matches clients with service providers (such as photographers) that aims to “help bereft fans seek support and get the help they need through this tough time.”

The beloved series based on the works of author George R.R Martin came to a bittersweet end last Sunday with many of the hit shows devoted fans being left disappointed and some even distraught.

Following the shows penultimate episode a petition was established to have the final season of the show rewritten which has garnered 1.5 million signatures to date.

However, the move to set up a counselling service for fans mourning the end of the show follows an outpouring of grief on social media networks following the airing of the final episode.

Some on twitter compared the ending of the show to loosing a limb or the death of a relative while others expressed more anger at how the fantasy series played out in the end.

Distressed fans can contact “qualified” counsellors via Bark.com for half- or full-hour sessions starting at £20. These counsellors will help grieving fans of the series to “digest their feelings and interpretation of the show, which could range from anger and confusion to sadness and grief.”
Meanwhile, other on social media have mocked and derided the anger and grief of fans of Game of Thrones reminding them its just a fictional fantasy.
