
Social media users have reacted mostly negatively to the atrocious revelations of the FAI’s financial predicaments.
The Football Association of Ireland (FAI) has announced that the organisation has current net liabilities of more than €55 million and that auditors Deloitte cannot guarantee that the organisation will be able to stay afloat.
It’s understood that the FAI has been in continuous talks with UEFA over their financial crisis and that the their banking partners have been working closely with them to try and stem the flow of instability within the organisation.
Outgoing CEO John Delaney saw a thanks of some €462,000, including a pension payment.
