Spain is on course for record-setting April temperatures, prompting a warning for holidaymakers to be careful.
Local forecasters have said that some southern regions are likely to see summer-like temperatures of 40C or beyond during Thursday and Friday.
The culprit is a mass of air moving up from Africa.
While these temperatures aren’t uncommon in Spain, they usually only happen during the height of summer in July/August.
