St Patrick’s Day gatherings unlikely to happen as Glynn says he doesn’t see a scenario where restrictions are significantly eased

The Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn has said that he can’t see a scenario were family gatherings can occur on St Patrick’s Day.

Speaking at the National Public Health Emergency Team briefing, Dr Glynn said he doesn’t envisage a scenario were restrictions will be significantly eased in March.

He went on to say he doesn’t see anything other than the cautious, phased re-opening of schools in the month of March.

Glynn’s comments come as the Taoiseach previously stated that restrictions will last beyond Easter.
